As an Osteopathic Physician, Dr. James incorporates Osteopathic Manual Therapy (OMT) into her practice to provide a more holistic approach to treating various ailments.

Members: $120/session (Premium members get additional 10% off)

Non-members: $200 initial visit and $150 follow up visits

(An invoice can be provided upon request if you wish to submit the OMT visit to insurance for reimbursement. Haven Family Health has no control over your insurance's determination on whether to reimburse you or not, and how much they will reimburse you.)

Overview of OMT

Dr. James utilizes various OMT techniques including myofascial release, strain-counterstrain, craniosacral, and muscle energy to help treat different conditions including but not limited to the following:

- TMJ dysfunction
- headache/migraine
- neck pain
- back pain
- hip pain
- recurrent ear infections/sinusitis
- shoulder pain
- IBS
- lymphedema
- muscle strain
- rib pain

Osteopathic Manual Therapy for Pregnant Women

OMT for Pain Relief During Pregnancy

Pregnancy is a time when your body is going through various changes which may lead to aches/pains and discomfort with very little options for medications you can take for relief. This is where OMT can be of great value. Dr. James works with women during pregnancy to provide relief for the following conditions. 

- swelling in legs

- leg cramps

- headaches

- hyperemesis gravidarum

- round ligament pain

- inguinal ligament pain

- back pain- foot pain

- hip/pelvic bone pain

- carpal tunnel syndrome

*Treatment plan may also include referrals to other healthcare professionals like pelvic floor therapists, physical therapists, etc to provide a more comprehensive approach to treating specific conditions.
